Don't Let the Warm Air Out

Fault line
Driving a nail between tiny splinters of wood
How do they stay?

I want to squeeze so tight
that all the air is gone

and I am squeezing.

This is the story of the girl
who framed the bus window
in perfect thirds.

Then disappeared.

Oh, adhesion and rolling tires
Closeness, movement, air
Can something old be discovered?

Imperfections, obsessions,
Arms out in the thunderous wind
Head high and

This is what it feels like to squeeze.

Imperfections

Find a crack in a mirror
So small it is only discovered
by your two faces

What is Old is New (Again?)

Downward spiral and heavy snowfall
Results in avalanches

Swimming beneath snow
that crushes
like rock

Gasping for breath
as we enter a new world

Closed off in the brightest darkness
There are only these : moments
accumulation of ice fragments
sunlight
and peace.
